I think there are a lot of misconceptions about the occult. Like what it really is etc. If you ask christians for example 99% of them will say that it is evil and devil worship. If you then ask them what they know of it they will not be able to tell you the answer. The Occult is simply something which is hidden. True Occult followers tend to keep to themselves and do not share their secrets with people in the outside world. You could read an occult text and never know what it means as the true meaning is hidden inside and takes a greater awareness to interperate. This subject has facinated me for several years now as I was brought up as a christian to only believe certain things. Since then thanks to my father I have opened my mind and have begun to study other possible beliefs. A lot of occult work deals with things in different realms where different creatures and magik as you so put it does exist. Each realm has different sets of rules and there is much knowledge and answers that are held within each realm. One of the realms that I have been trying to spend time in lately is the Astral realm. Due to poor texts written by people who like to make money my journey has been difficult. A lot of the information on the net is false or filled with holes so it is hard to get the truth. Hence the word Occult because it is hidden within secs etc. A lot of folklaw and mythology deals with stories of magical creatures and wells that lead to other planes of existance. Somepeople also believe that if you build something up enough in the Astral Plane that it will materialise in the physical. My personal belief is that the creatures and magik you are talking about exist in a different realm. We live in the physical realm.

Occultists are normally artistic people interested in the super-natural. Magik is an art and science of causing change to occur conformance with the will. Occult is an advanced knowledge of religion and spirituality, but is slightly different than Esoteric paths in that occultists put less limits and rules on their 'beliefs'. I don't think the 'creatures' are as important as the 'belief' in them. We cannot really know if any of these entities exist, but we know that there is something supernatural that happens inside us and in our reality when we deal with magick and the occult. (There are some dangers when dealing with the occult and it is definitely not for everyone)

"Occult" simply means hidden from view. Some branches of Christianity have "occult" practices. That said I have studied nearly every branch of the magickal arts, and while I don't profess to be a master, I am familiar with it all. I don't understand why some people have such a superstitious fear of it, it is certainly not for dabblers, but I don't see anything inherently "evil" about it.

I was just thinking on this today. Why don't people have respect for the spirits that God set over nature? For instance, the Road God demands blood in payment for the use of it. The Bridge God also needs occasional sacrifice. Nothing is for free. Although we pay money for these things to be built, still there is a payment of blood that occurs, whether we recognize it or not. Its' all in the way you view things, I guess. Not all things can be seen with our eyes.

Actual occultism [The stuff I do] is like sex, don't do it without protection.
It's rewarding, but dangerous if you upset the things you are talking to, as well as falling prey to the things that would prefer you not exist.

I am a Christian but I have fallen to the occult before I was. The reason people fall into the occult is because the occult offers them a sort of "group identity" and this identity helps them to find a "inner peace", i fell for this but in the end God helped me out of this trap and put me in his family . This occult thing is a good way to join the long black train straight to hell and I am glad I got off. I should also mention that I was level 3 epsilon occult and I could not even handle it, when my "spirit guide tried to take me over! God saved me and for all you spiritist this path goes to hell! email me at uziell3@yahoo.com and convince me to sell my soul to hell! And by the way story junkie, When Jesus died for us he payed all of our toles including the payment of sin, which is Judgement, may God show you all truth and save you from yourselves, amen.

I am often involved with the occult on a day-to-day basis, to be honest with you.
I see it as something you SHOULD NOT PLAY WITH unless you have someone to teach you about it, first. Also, you should NOT PLAY WITH IT unless you know the right words and meanings and truth with it. (like the lack of Satan)
Note: Christians claim they used to be Pagan to scare people. Ignore them, please. <3

i think they make as much sense as any other religion. By the way, no one worships "Satin". I know it is soft and comfortable, but worshiping it is a bit too much.
