that there is a bus that will transport them from a hotel to your reception site? We are planning on hiring a bus to transport guests from a hotel to the wedding (the wedding itself is about a 1/2 hr from our city and there will be drinking). Not sure how to tell the guests (even those who arent staying in the hotel. How do we tell them or let them know- can you include that info in an invitation?

All you have to do is put a small insert in the invitation that says transportation will be provided from the hotel to the reception location. You should also include a reminder in the gift baskets for your out of town guests, in case they forget.

With your invitation include a note that lets them know this information, you can also let them know about Hotels in the area if the prefer to stay at a different hotel with the phone numbers, taxi phone numbers, directions to the wedding incase you have some guests who are not drinkers and want to take their own vehicle. This makes them feel welcomed especially for out of towners. Congratualtions on your big day!

Include it on a separate card, I think. Say something like, "transportation will be provided to and from the reception and hotel." You should also remind guests via the phone when you are confirming rsvps. I would also suggest you purchase an etiquette book. It is invaluable in many situations.

Include the information in the invitation as it will help your guests with their planning. IF you have gotten a deal with that hotel make sure you let guests know that too. Just add the information on the information about hotels in your area.

Put a separate RSVP card in the envelope that mentions transportation and asks if they would be interested, or put it on the bottom of the standard RSVP card. I don't know if I would put it on the invitation.

You can include it on a separate paper that you can make yourself from the computer in with all the invitations.
