My 7-year old son has cancer!?

The doctor's have sent us home saying there's nothing left. I've been doing a lot of research about natural cures. I sure wish I had done this before. Does anyone know of someone that has used this?

This has got to be the worst possible news a parent can hear. First it depends on the type of cancer. I know of a grown woman who has breast cancer with mets. She refused all conventional cancer treatment and decided to use a macro biotic diet instead. Six years later, she still has cancer but she is still alive and living a quality life. Whenever she has pain, she walks. The endorphines from the exercise seem to help her deal with the pain. I am certainly not a doctor. I would never ever want to give anyone false hope. But if there is anything that can help your son, I sincerely hope you find it. Research macro biotic diets and see if it applies. Good Luck!

My son has a rare abdominal sarcoma. And, yes, I've known members of the group that has his type of cancer who have tried 'natural' or alternative or integrative medicines. I'm afraid it's a real mixed bag and none of them have ever been 'cured' (there are only 200 patients worldwide at any given time, so it is easy to tract their treatments). The only survivors of his type of disease have been either stage 1 and completely resected surgically, or they have undergone traditional medicine protocol. There are one or two who are using a complementary approach with Aretmisinin, Curcumin, Coriolus VPS, Imm-Kine,
Ellagic Acid, Immune Stimulator, Immune Assist, Green Tea Extract, Ginger Root, Omega 3 and Omega 6 Essential Fatty Acids,Lysine,Glutamine, Taurine, Garlic, Ester C, Selenium, B-Complex, B-12, Folic Acid, Cimetidine, Celebrex, and Goji Juice. But, there is no evidence so far that using this type of treatment stops tumor progression. In fact, one patient has gone back to traditional medicine after her tumors spred while on alternatives.

I do not know if you have had a second or third opinion regarding your son or not. I know that several of the kids who had been told that there wasn't anything more that could be done, went for second opinions and found success. One father called me last summer because his doctor had given up on his son. We were able to point him to a specialist for this type of sarcoma, who just recently finished his second surgery on the boy. This was after being told the tumors were inoperable. Seek out a second or third opinion.

Never give up! Join cancer foundations, travel around to see who will be willing to give him a chance!!! Doctors who say there's nothing left are not good. Keep searching for good doctors, research cancer foundations. If there ends up being no hope, just enjoy being together and try to live life to the fullest. I'm very sorry to hear this, and I pray that your son will be healed, but thats life. Good luck.

You didn't describe what kind of illness he has, but be careful about supposedly 'natural' cures. Most of them are not efficient, and some even harmful... I have seen the case of one little boy with brain tumors being given urine injections costing around 40 000$ to his parents and die miserably...

Also, you may look into experimental treatments that relate directly to his condition, and discuss them with your doctor, or another cancer specialist. Usually, legitimate experimental treatments are highly supervised medically, and the people who are responsible won't give you unrealistic expectations

You should get a second opinion. Doctors rarely just "give up" on someone so young when there is still fight left in the child and family. Try contacting St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. They specialize in quality care for children and it's often funded with donations.

First I want to say to you and your son,GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!!!!!!Prayer is your best choice in natural healing. But remember the Bible says "Your days are numbered like the hairs on your head" ! Believe in GOD and the healing power of JESUS (Not only can he heal you physically but also spiritually) I lost 2 cousins,one was 4 yrs old and her brother was 17 yrs old to cancer,a rare cancer at that. I lost my mother and mother-in-law to cancer and a Grandfather to the cancer too. It hurts to lose a child before you lose a parent,I know I lost both. What gave me comfort was to know where they went when they passed on. JESUS said "They're are many mansions in my FATHER'S HOUSE,IF THIS WAS NOT TRUE I WOULD TELL YOU SO"!! Make sure your son gets to know JESUS and in losing him to a better place,a place where someday you will see him again. Surrender unto GOD what is GOD'S and know you did what you could spiritually for him. BEWARE OF SNAKE OIL SALESMEN!! Selling you an emotional elixer as a cure all and playing on your emotions

I am completely ignorant on this subject with all the updates and changes. Sounds like you want to see a homeopathic Dr. make an apt. Also call St. Judes in Tenn for a consult. Sorry for your dilemma

This forum is not very keen or fond of anything outside the medical field, so be very wary of input. I always tell people to do research on their own and if you feel it's right then go with it. I'm sorry to hear about your son.

About 20 years ago there was a study done on preimaging yourself healed and meditating on yourself healed. As a result of this it was proven that the leukocyte (white blood cell) count drops when the patient does this. Best of luck!

The Lord Jesus Christ is the answer...He can and wants to heal your boy...there have been miracles round the world!
