Even if you were to prove that God exists, there are hundreds of extant religions, each claiming to have the bead on what God's message is.

Iff it were possible, would you consider it enough to demonstrate that God exists, but be unable to demonstrate that your religion is the most accurate?

Or in order for you to feel truly grounded, would such proof be inadequate until somehow there was absolute evidence that your religion were the exclusive winner of the inter-faith debate?

First question: Neither are vital. Doing good is vital. If one can't be trusted here and now, what makes one think that later anything will be different.

For me, just proving and knowing that God excists is enough for me. You see I live with and around people who think that my "religion" as you call it, isn't accurate. So I've already had to live with the kind of circumstances you're trying to get at. I talk to God every day and as many times as I want. He talks to me and my beliefs are what feels right for me. I know I'm right with God the creator and when I mess up I apologize and move on. Simple as that. And yes I do read the bible, in case your all wondering. If your wondering what "religion" I am...I am a christian. I am Christs child. Your sister if you belong to him also.

Proof is obviously impossible - that's why you're required to provide "faith".

Initially, gods were concrete and so it was possible to prove they didn't exist; as religions evolved over time, mankind came across the idea of gods whose existence cannot be proven.

I think if you were to be able to prove the existance of God then it would prove that your religion was accurate.
