I'm getting into S.A.G and I need to make a portfolio.if anybody can recomend a good photographer or photo studio that would be great.And advice on avoiding scams and how to make the photos intresting is welcome to. thanx.

If you are in New York City you do NOT need a portfolio for SAG? They don't require a portfolio. All they need is your money for the SAG membership.

Actors don't need a portfolio (unless you're in middle-America perhaps.)

As an actor you will be asked to audition with monologues. You also need 8x10 black&white photographs that you attach to the back of your resume and mail to prospective talent agents.

Ask your actor friends to recommend headshot photographers in the city where you live and act.

Don't worry about making the photos interesting. That is not your job - if you choose a headshot photographer, he knows what the industry requires.

extremely common, a headshot and resume!! The headshot needs to be done professionally,(walmart, college and so on.) it really is about 25$ and also you need to look "a thanks to make an appearing resume" on google. i quite wish I helped.
