Is having a girlfriend necessarily an indication of being in love or is it perhaps for sex or not being alone or etc?

If a man doesn't say he is in love, don't assume he is.

Just because you date someone, doesn't necessarily mean you love them.

Maybe in time those feelings will emerge, but it's hard to tell, based on the info you have given. How long have you been dating? Does he say "I love you"? Do you actually go on dates or just do the booty call thing?

Without knowing more, I can't give you an honest opinion.

I would say that if you just started dating recently, then love is more than likely not in the picture, yet. There is an attraction to you, and like I said, in time that attraction will either grow stronger or it will not.

Dating is nothing more than to people learning about each other. Someimes dating leads to long term relationships, and sometimes dating only lasts a short period of time.

sorry but 1) having sex with someone doesn't make them your boyfriend,
2) having a boyfriend does not mean he loves you and
3) having sex does not mean he loves you

you are a girlfriend if he calls you that or introduces you to people that way. if a man is in love, he'll say so.

How long were they together? People aren' typically in love when they become boyfriend/girlfriend...that's something that grows over time...
