Even though we're all endangered in one way or another, if lobster were endangered, I'd have a moral obligation for the good of the planet to stop eating it.

Are you saying that if the answer to your question is "no," people would be eating an endangered species? Would you be willing to not eat a Panda? Would you be willing to stop hunting bald eagles? I hope you're not such an insatiable glutton that you would still HAVE TO eat lobsters, in spite of their endangered status.

Absolutely, but.......... I don't eat anything that has a face. When lobsters are thrown into boiling water, they scream. They have nervous systems; they feel pain. I don't need lobster to survive. I don't need meat to survive. Therefore, I opt to make choices that involve as little suffering and environmental degradation as possible. Factory farming is cruel, inhumane and a major source of pollution. Commercial fishing is no better.

I definately can. I'm a seafood lover and love dipping little pieces of lobster meat into warm butter. My mouth is starting to water. Anyhow, there's an alternative seafood that people can substitude lobster for something else.

this is hard to answer, because i love lobster, but i think that i would give it up if they were endangered. on the other hand, they can and probably will make lobster farms, genetically bred, and so on...so it wouldnt be a loss per se but it just wouldnt be the real thing.

of course! there are plenty of delicous foods out there other than "lobster" and i would consider it selfish to eat an endangered animal if it meant future generations would not be able to see the animal. Its like the Japanese and other governments killing endangered species of whales! Its completely disrepectful of nature, human beings and os inhumane...in my opinion

hmm i love eating lobster but umm...i guess if they were really endangered then chances r that i probably would stop eating them. lol it would also be against the law if they go under protection, isn't that right?

lobsters are bottom-feeders anyway. They eat all the nasty stuff on the sea floor. How nasty is that- that you are eating something that ate anything that was on that floor. And there are a LOT of nasty things on the ocean floor.
