The heirarchy of the Catholic church has placed itself between God and man via their man made rules and practices that are not biblical. Things like prayers to saints and Mary are anti-christian per the Bible yet the leadership of the church says otherwise. Encouraging people to say the rosary is the catholic church teaching the masses to "pray like the pagans do" by repeating yourself dosens of times. Jesus spoke out about these things. Just read some of the red words in the new testament and you'll see why many christians, myself included, have serious trouble with the way the catholic church is run.

I have not noticed anyone blaming Catholics for the world's recent wars. Perhaps I missed something, but I see Christianity as a whole in politics more often than not.

I find some practices in Catholicism to be dangerous - such as not encouraging the use of condoms in Africa, and I think it's dangerous to require anyone to deny their natural sex drive. But, I find doctrines in every denomination that I don't agree with.

Are you feeling sorry for your self tonight? I've never heard anyone blame Catholics for wars or anything else for that matter. In fact give this post a few minutes and there will be plenty of Catholics blaming Protestants for all the world's problems.

Because Catholicism is a "courtly" religion. That is what the pomp and titles are all about. They hob nob with the elite both good and bad and are in the center of everything. For example they have a non voting seat on the UN. Up until recently the Catholic church was the moral authority (literally, not spiritually) in many European countries. They should be responsible.

Being that the Catholic Church is the object so much scrutiny, all eyes are waiting to see what it is going to do or say, and waiting for it to do or say something that is controversial so that everyone may begin their attack on it .

Jesus is the truth, the way and the life!

"Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One"

no i wouldn't blame catholics for wars thats more evangellicals and muslims at the moment the last wars the catholics caused was during the crusades and thats ancient history now,

However I will blame you for the spread of AIDS and the millions starving in Africa because during the 1930's America wanted to introduce contraception , abortion and sex education to Africa but backed down after protests by the catholic church and it followers so I'll balme the catholic church for the millions of deaths in Africa that have occured since that time and could have been prevented and I'll blame The catholic church for all those millions of children who have to live the next 30-40 years of their life suffering because of the church's twisted morals , so why blame catholics for war there's much worse things that have happened more recently that they are responsible for

If the Catholic church is indeed the true church, it will always be regarded as the anti-christ or the whore or whatever. Just like many people recognize the Pope as the anti-christ, it is simply the price it pays for not being "of man."

It is born of predjudice that people believe that the church is more powerful than it is, or of pride that they know better.
