It was a God with a huge ego problem; a God who was beleaguered by a terrible regret, namely, the regret of having created the human race in the first place. It was a God who fell victim to fits of jealousy, and other bouts of emotion, in his dealings with humans.
It was a God who wanted the people to offer up dead animals to him all the time. And on and on.
Okay, Bible people will ridicule my answers, but everything I mentioned can be found in the Old Testament, and I can generally find the appropriate passages.

Good question. I'll humor you by telling you what you already know. The bible speaks of God and of the trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Of course we have no proof other than Gods inspired word and we seem to be living in a time when 100% proof is all that will do. Faith isn't enough for many. Specifics and proof are vital. It appears to be the same God of the NT. Regardless of what seems to be different about the two testaments, we as believers and those who are doubters are faced with one very similar problem,,,neither of us have all the answers, and we only make ourselves into the larger fools when we pretend we do.

God = God.
There is only one that I know of. Same as in hte New testament and the same as the One who will judge all humanity one day.
God incompehensible by limited human understanding. One in essence and ontology but thre Persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
Are there many gods? Perhaps in Athens.
:D

Gosh wow its funny to see the comments above of the Christians who cannot see how the NT god differed so much from the OT god. They are two different ages of ideals, its wasn’t god that made that book but man that’s why there is such a startling difference between the OT god and the NT god.

The same One who is in the NT, the main difference being that men then had a way to be completely forgiven of their sins, and not suffering their own punishment, if they accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
