Some people think that because some of us know how to read, and understand what we do read. Some others, like your self don't know how to read, and if you did you would know that Jesus didn't have anything to do with destroying Sodom or Gomorrah. Not only do you have the wrong person, you have the wrong book.

"God help anyone who would think such a thing"? We can't help what thoughts come to our head. Hey, since you wrote it down, why did you think it?
Homosexuality is not the only reason Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.
Ezekiel 16:49-50 (New International Version)
49 " 'Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. 50 They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen."
I think God cares more about how we treat the lowly than about our sexual preference.
Now, "mathematically", I can prove that Jesus wasn't gay. The Bible--the OT and the NT epistles--say homosexuality is a sin. The NT says Jesus was sinless. Therefore, Jesus did not practice homosexuality.
However, the NT also says that Jesus was tempted in every way that we are, although he did not sin. Therefore, Jesus must have been tempted by homosexuality, too!
Now, American "manliness" is a warped thing, not allowing for tender feelings or tears or gentleness. Jesus wept. Jesus allowed the apostle John to rest on his chest. If Jesus were an American teenager he'd be beaten up as a "f*g". (Then again, he was beaten up, wasn't he?) Biblical masculinity allows for more tenderness and vulnerability than American "masculinity".

These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: ‘Go nowhere among the Gentiles, and enter no town of the Samaritans,6but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, proclaim the good news, “The kingdom of heaven has come near.” Whatever town or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy, and stay there until you leave. As you enter the house, greet it. If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town. Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgement than for that town.
Matthew 10:5-7,11-15 NRSV
These are the words of your beloved Jesus according to the Gospel attributed to Matthew (this is found in Luke's account as well). JESUS makes it VERY clear that the reason for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is inhospitality NOT homosexuality. Which ironically is the sin that you do when you kick those who you deem as sinful, due to their love for the same-sex, out of your church, well guess what, the judgment on you will be greater than on those cities.
As for Jesus being gay, though the bible may not say so clearly, there are homosexual undertones to the gospel according to John, which is where people might read into it that he was gay, specially since he was portrayed as never been with a woman. However, there is no actual evidence to prove that Jesus was or was not gay. Even if he was the Messiah, the Son of Man; his sexuality as a human being is irrelevent to his message. For he ate, and slept, and drank, just like we all do, he felt pain, hunger, thirst, anger. 100% human but 100% God is the theology that most churches preach. Then why is it so difficult to imagine that the 100% man felt attraction, to men or women. For if Jesus was 100% God only, then they would have not seen him, as he wouldn't have had human flesh, and he would have not died if he was only 100% divine. Therefore you are mistaken in your generalization.

God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah (please spell correctly if you wish to correct others) because they were sin-filled cities. The Bible doesn't state that homosexuality was the crime, but that people in the town were wicked and evil. They wished to rape the angels that visited Lot.
Which do you think is the sin.... Rape, forcing your lust upon another, or loving another individual?
Do you seriously believe that God likes rape while despising consenting love? That the love of two people for each other, rather than rape, was the sin?
If you do, why not preach that rape is much better tolerated by God than homosexuality?

Now I don't have any problem with Jesus, but you have to admit the bible does make him look a bit gay. He was hanging out with 12 blokes most of the story and never once got laid. Sad... If Jesus is a God, i'm a God too...We are all Gods.

the first element is that you do comprehend the bible replaced into replaced accurate?? Over one hundred-2 hundred books were taken out of the bible and adjusted, revised and teh like. maximum loud conceited christians dont opt for to talk about that. the way I see that is what's logical? If God suggested smash all kings that you're feeling oppress you there does not be a king james bible. gay, even although I dont trust them, they have a accurate to the way they stay their lives, situation wiht that although is that it is going not a lot agaisnt the bible yet hostile to nature. i'm type of drained so i dont comprehend if im making a coherent argument for you yet dont believe one hundred% some thing that has lengthy exceeded with the help of mans fingers. look on the bible and evaluate it to nature. maximum persons have heard the affirming that God made each and everything suited except us, look to the bible for solutions then evaluate it to nature. this is the in elementary words element that God has truly left for us that we gained't somewhat replace. a guy is established right into a church for what he believes and he's became out for what he's established with. — Samuel Clemens (AKA Mark Twain)

Because they have no faith, and don't understand who JESUS is . speaking of gay, I'm so tired of them saying GOD made them that way, disgusting! GOD said be fruitful and multiply. I haven't heard of 1 man that gave birth yet. If we were all gay the world would end. BY the way i don't believe in cloning, either. GOD BLESS the people who think GOD"S only son is gay.

There is an ungodly bunch on this site, full of wickedness, beyond imagination. But one day they will stand before God not as a Saviour but as their judge and they will give an account of every idle word spoken. Jesus, can handle them. I hope that a few will find Christ and His beauty before it is too late. Without God in your heart there is only evil, the proof is in their written words.

uh.. you seem kinda young with ur typing. But i agree with you, people are decieved. There are many bad things in this world, but that's why Jesus called us to be a light and salt unto the world. I used to be grossed out by gays, but now i realize the only way they will ever come out of it is if you love them. Love them, show God's love to them and don't be to pushy with religiion. They only need God's love.
