In my opinion, this fight wouldn't last 5 rounds. Rocky hit way too hard for Spinks. Michael's best weight was Light heavyweight. Who can forget his fights with Marvin Johnson, Jaqui Lopez, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Dwight Muhammad Qawi. These guys were the very best in that era, and Spinks beat them all.
When Mike moved up to Heavyweight, his punch didn't and this would cause major problems for him him against the natural (although small by today's standards) Heavyweight, Rocky. This fight would be somewhat comparable to Spinks vs Tyson even though Tyson was a lot bigger (weight) than Rocky. Rocky would be able to take anything Spinks would have to give and sometime in the 5th would catch Spinks with old Suzy Q and Spinks would be laid out for the count.
Spinks would have his moments but the power difference would be evident early. Spinks would fight, because he was indeed a fighter but he wouldn't have enough to keep the Rock off of him.

I see Marciano winning this fight by a slim unanimous decision. Spinks would try to box and he would be able to avoid the knockout punch. The Rock's relentless pressure would be the difference. Although he wins this one Spinks gets in his shots and the Rock has to see the doctor after the fight to do some stitching on cuts he suffers during the fight. Spinks' face doesn't look too good either.

although spinks was great at lt. heavy and a very good fighter, I think the rock would have pressured him constantly and broke him down...I think Marciano would have stopped spinks within 10 rounds
