The 'gay' thing is much more feared with males.
Of course some guys can overlook that and be so assured with their sexual identity they CAN admit another guy's good looking.

I ask the same question , the answer I never do look at a man enough and be able to tell you if their good looking or not. I am not a lesbian but I see a pretty girl or woman and I Know when they are pretty even some are beautiful and I say so .

Speaking from years of experience I have found that this is related to the competitive nature of guys in general. If I go around saying that this guy or that guy is attractive then that's not being competitive. So I will say that the guy is not attractive so that way I win that competition hands down. In addition to that, guys are just plain gross so it is difficult to say one is attractive. Girls on the other hand are beautiful so it should be easier for another girl to say another girl is attractive.

Cause i guess guys get a little homophobic and get scared to say another guy is good looking. Also alot of the time guys don't really notice when other guys are better looking, cause they don't really care. But if a girl points it out, it's still very uncomfortable to say another guy is good looking.

Well, they're afraid of being seen as "gay". It's basically insecurity about their sexuality. A fun trick is to ask the same guy if he's ever tried it. If he hasen't, ask him how he would know if he liked it or not. It's a fun way to make somebody squirm a little. We do it on Submarines every once in a while for a laugh at someone else's expence.

I will admit when another girl is pretty. Most guys will not rate other guys though.

A lot of things are more accepted for girls then guys in our society. This is one. Another is girls holding hands. If guys hold hands, or rate other guys- must be gay. Definitely a cultural thing though. Also, girls more competitive and analytical when it comes to these things.

because most males are simply afraid of ridicule from others if they say anything close to the fact that they've seen how handsome or pretty, depending on the guy, looks, therefore do not speak out, even if they do notice, they are fearful, and will remain silent.

i can admit it and usually will voice it whether there is a guy around or not..i think people aren't nice enough to one another anymore so whether it's a guy or a girl, if i think they look nice, i tell them..my own little pick me up is to always speak my mind for the good instead of the bad

Because there are sooo many different interpretations of what a good looking guy is, whereas it is quite simple to identify a pretty girl thanks to media saturation of what is desired. Due to this, guys in perticular, will see another guy who a girl calls pretty, and fail to match him to the sterotype of pretty, and hence doesn't believe they are.
Or maybe men are just way more jealous and competitive... haha, I think we are
