Mine did and I remember Mrs Tuites cookie platter every Christmas among a few. I also heard that some mothers took cookies from others moms cookie plates and added it to their own.

This is one of my favorite Christmas memories. My mom would share butter cookies, decorated, and fudge with and without nuts. We would get other treats from people, and it was always delightful. Anymore though, I think it is becoming a rare thing. In my neighborhood, people almost thought it "odd" for lack of a better word, when I showed up with a plate of cookies. It is also when I give my neighbors their christmas card from my family. I just wish I had time to do this every year, for ALL my neigbors and friends. They seem to really appreciate it. I just hope they don't feel like they owe us something. Thanks for sharing your memory. So, curious, what was on Mrs. Tuites cookie platter? :)

No, but that's okay. The place I work (a personal injury law firm) has lots of grateful clients who send all sorts of goodies throughout the month of December! Too bad my stomach is not wanting to cooperate and eat them lately.
