How come Predominantly Catholic nations (Germany, Italy and Spain) during the World Wars were never reprimanded by the Catholic Church?

Christendom’s clergy are more reprehensible in shedding blood than other religious leaders. Why? Because in addition to taking God’s name upon themselves, they have taken Christ’s too. They thereby obligated themselves to follow the teachings of Jesus. (John 15:10-14) But they have not followed those teachings, thus bringing great reproach upon both God and Christ. The responsibility for bloodshed by the clergy has been both direct, in the Crusades, other religious wars, inquisitions, and persecutions, and indirect, in condoning wars in which members of the churches killed their fellowman in other lands.

From the 11th to the 13th century, the clergy of Christendom introduced the Crusades. These resulted in horrible bloodshed and pillage in the name of God and of Christ. Hundreds of thousands were killed. The Crusades included the senseless slaughter of thousands of children who were induced to participate in the Children’s Crusade of the year 1212.

In the 13th century, the Roman Catholic Church officially sanctioned another God-dishonoring horror, the Inquisition. It began in Europe and spread to the Americas, lasting for over six centuries. Originated and backed by the papacy, it was a murderous attempt to torture and stamp out all who disagreed with the church.

Catholics: They supported both sides in the two world wars, in which people of the same religion, “brothers,” killed one another. For instance, in World War II, French and American Catholics killed German and Italian Catholics; British and American Protestants killed German Protestants. At times, they killed others who were not only of the same religion but also of the same national background. The two world wars erupted in the heart of Christendom and would not have been possible had the clergy obeyed the commandment to love, and taught their followers to do the same.

The New York Times affirmed: “In the past local Catholic hierarchies almost always supported the wars of their nations, blessing troops and offering prayers for victory, while another group of bishops on the other side publicly prayed for the opposite outcome.

The pope himself admitted Catholicism’s responsibility in all this bloodshed. He said: “I am ready to acknowledge that Catholics have not always been faithful to this affirmation of faith.” And then he added: “We have not always been ‘peacemakers.’

“IN THIS decisive hour we admonish our Catholic soldiers to do their duty in obedience to the Fuehrer [Hitler].” The Catholic bishops of Germany, as quoted in The New York Times, September 25, 1939.

“You know, padre, on our aircraft one of our crew members is a Catholic, and you bless him before we go off on bombing missions over Germany. Now, the same Catholic religion in Germany is blessing a Catholic crew member of a German aircraft that comes over and destroys our cities. So the question I ask is, ‘Whose side is God on?’” Thus spoke a British flying officer, David Walker, in a conversation with a Catholic priest during World War II.

The fact that you are repeating someone else's lie makes me want to not answer your question. There were 6 Million Jews killed in the Jewish Holocaust. to this day Chairman Moe hold the record of 54 Million killed. As for his religious beliefs l do not know about them but l question your statement about it.getting back to the people killed in the death camps l saw a captured film. A german officer was standing behind a table in an open field, It looked like sand. There were things on the table and as he was talking he pointed out objects on the table. what l remembered the most was a lamp with the shade made out of tattoos. Then he tells the camera about the people in the prison camp. He named groups that l knew and others that l never heard of and about 12 or possibly 13th he said jews.

After WW2 they helped Nazi escape. The Pope would not allow the church to help the Jews, thought there were a lot of Nuns and Priest that broke it and did anyway.

Did you ever notice how little the catholic church did to stop the gassing of the Jews? It's almost as though they were trying to eliminate the Jews by inaction. I have even heard that a certain pope was accused of sending the first train full of Jews to the gas chambers.

My guess is fear or prudence.

Many Catholic priests and nuns were killed for standing up for what was right during these dark times.

Any church when it becomes institutionalized, cannot perform its duties justly. I guess that's what happened. But on the other had there are many religious personalities who even gave up their lives in order to help.
