You woke up today.
You have breath.
You have shelter.
You have food and water.
You can read.
You can operate a computer.
You can communicate well.
You have eyes to see.
God did a lot for you today, didn't He?
He is there.
God bless you.

Your looking for an emotional experience and that's not your everyday walk with God. Pray and ask if your only going through the motions to keep up appearances or are you truly seeking His face? Perhaps having time with a small group or even one other person will help you find you direction. You're not the only one that has lost their way. You probably know people who have gone through this without realizing it. A quite talk with you pastor could direct you to some one.

These things happen to many Christians.
The answer is in forgivness.
You need to make sure that you have forgiven anyone that has wronged you, and you need to be forgiven by God if whatever happened involved God.
You know how to ask forgiveness from God and how to forgive those who have wronged you. You just have to make up your mind to do it.
Once you have done this, your relationship with God will begin to repair itself.
God forgives our sins as we forgive the sins of others. Isn't that what the Lord's prayer says?
Good luck, you can be repaired and you and your deacon husband can live a rich life together.

I went through the same thing. I recently renewed my faith as well. All I did was honestly ask God to show himself to me, to guide me in my walk with him and to let him shine through me. Ever since that I have felt an overpowering sense of love and I never want to lose it. All you have to do is ask- and mean it. And you will always go through those periods of time where you are feeling lost, but dont lose your faith because he will always lift you up. Even if you feel like he isnt there at times, he is, and hes patiently waiting for you with open arms.

you said that you were very hurt and wounded by a past experience, have you forgiven that person yet? i know how you feel because i am going through the same thing. i think we all do. you feel as if God isn't listening to you anymore. mayby that is the real test of faith. we have to belive that He is still there and that he still loves us. we have to believe what we can't see. He has promised that He will always be with us. just BELIEVE!

encourage: Yes I have ... I saw it in others but thought at the time, this couldn't happen to me. Your trials have allowed you to see the you God sees. He is in the saving business and has your best interests in mind !!! Trials are strange ! Your sailing along in life and ... wham !!! On a personal note. I think that as this world slides more and more down the proverbial "tube", God [Jesus] is turning up the heat on us to prepare us for His Kingdom or His Second Coming to this orb. with Global warming melting the polar ice-caps, the fish being depleted from the oceans, weather changes all over the place, threats of nuclear proliferation ... this world's future doesn't appear too bright ! Jesus loves you - cares for you - and won't desert you ... never !!! Trouble with living in a wealthy place like North America is the battle for the waning "first love" ! All Christians living here, are under the gun for this pull at them constantly. Jesus made provisions for our times of compromise, and human weakness, as He was subjugated to all the same things as you and I are. He [Jesus] knows and is lovingly waiting for us, to receive us when we blow it !!! Remember; the GOOD NEWS ... we all win in the end !!! All the very best to you, my sister in the Lord !!!

I know what you are talking about, and I know that there is a point where you realize....I'm just living, and nothing more. From there though, you have at least two options. One is to be miserable about it. Another is to simply get some time by yourself, get on your knees, get on your face, and pour your heart out to God. Ask Him to renew the passion in your heart once again, ask Him to give you that fire again, ask Him to take you to new places once again in your relationship with Him. Then, though, look at your life. Is there anything in it that you have been partaking in that has only drawn you away? Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to make Him your first love, and He will answer. I hope that this helps you, may God bless you richly!
2 Timothy 2:11-13 NIV
11Here is a trustworthy saying:
If we died with him,
we will also live with him;
12if we endure,
we will also reign with him.
If we disown him,
he will also disown us;
13if we are faithless,
he will remain faithful,
for he cannot disown himself.

You might fast and pray. Fasting clears the mind so we can hear Him. also spend alot of time in Psalms. Tell Him you trust Him no matter how you feel. Stay in the word and He WILL refresh you May The Lord Bless You

seek Him...go back to your Praise and worship you lost along the way..Many times have a felt as if God didn't care but I knew in my heart He did so I pressed now...Living for Jesus is not easy to do and there are so many test and trails you have to go through but it is when you know that the Lord is in the mist of those when you know he truly loves you..
