I found the knot really helpful for all kinds of things. Below is the page that may help you. If all else fails ask the groom what he wants/expects!!!

Hey Josh.
Great question. It would be great if all guys took this as seriously as you seem to be!
Places to look for guidance are the net ( of course), book stores, and even friends who have been married recently.
I would be great if you had a chat with the groom. He may have specific tasks he needs you to help with. He may only want you to throw the bachelor party and sign the wedding license.
Things you make be expected to help with are:
carry the wedding bands during the service;
ensure that luggage is packed in car;
drive couple to airport;
pay wedding staff;
throw a bachelor party;
get groom to service on time;
keep groom sober;
arrange trasportation for wedding party;
co-ordinate other groomsmen and ushers;
propose a SHORT toast at reception;
help groom dress for service;
and a lot more.
I hope you enjoy your role as Best Man. Keep it sane.

Throw a bachelor party to the GROOMS taste (no strippers if it's not up his alley) and support him through any planning he might be involved in. Other than that just write a really nice toast to say at the wedding and show up to the rehearsal and wedding on time! Good luck!

Just show up :-) And make sure you go to the rehearsal ceremony.
By the way, there's a reason you're a best man, so that obviously means just keep doing your job as best friend of whoever the groom is. Good luck :-)
You'll do fine!

1- remember the bachelor party is not all about you and your friends, its about the groom, so please respect him if he does not like the idea of strippers.
2- do not play practical jokes like shaving his hair or eyebrows, or tying him naked to a tree on a busy highway.
3- prepare a good speech for the wedding, you will be expected to say great things about the newlyweds.
4- dont get too drunk and make the groom feel uncomfortable, remember, everything you do will be probably on video tape.
5- do not forget/lose the wedding rings, its your role in the ceremony to hold onto the rings before they exchange wedding vows.
6-be nice to the bridesmaids, even if they are fat or ugly.
7- take pride in how you look, you are going to be in alot of photographs.
i think thats about it
