I ran into this women i used 2 work with a long time ago,and we exchanged numbers and have talked everyday for like a week, well she keeps telling me she's really agaisnt men right now,so i'm trying to show her what it's like to be with one of the good ones, but I don't want to end up in a friend mode.Well she has an 8 month old and ahe tells me how much she struggles,so I was in the store the other day and diapers and wipes were on sale so I bought some for her cause i knew she needed them, would that freak you out or worse maybe put that in the friend mode....I told her i had bought them 4 her and she said cool and thank you.Now i'm the type of person that if u need it i'll get it for you,no matter what...I've dated women that think this is a turnoff, what's your opinion?

I think you need to be yourself and eventually the right woman who will appreciate it will come along and you will both be so happy together.

No, I don't feel that this would really put you in the friend zone. If she tells you that she is really against men right now it is because she has been recently hurt or taken advantage of and she is probably saying "wait, I may change my mind." Let her know you are interested but that you are willing to give her the time and space she needs to get over this but don't stop being her friend. Do things together and show her what a great guy you are without the "dating" thing and she'll eventually open up and show you her true feelings too or she will completely reject you and if she does that then she is out of her mind. If this happens, don't fret, you will find that someone who is just right for you just keep on being the nice guy that you are but don't let them bleed you dry. You could easily be taken advantage of if you let it happen.

I think this was an awesome thing to do. I think some people wouldn't know how to react to your generosity since it's something they aren't used to so maybe they would initially freak out.. maybe not freak out so much as react poorly. You sound like a great human being. Keep up the good work. You'll be rewarded in the end.

Dont do it very often, she may feel like a failure and that will turn her off. And it will put you in that dreaded friend zone. If you want to impress her, make plans with her and her baby. It will show that you really like her and you arent going to run from her baby (thats a big issue with single moms) Its too cold now but something like a day in the park would be good, I cant think of anything warmer right now, sorry! Dont offer to babysit - thats definitely a friend thing. Good luck!!

You sound like a very nice person and I am sure she appreciated the thought however, in the future, if you do not want her to think of you as just a friend, buy her something a little more romantic like a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates or some flowers. My husband is very much a giver and I love him for it. If she was all that much against men she wouldn't speak to you in the first place.

i think if a guy is willing to b seen buying diapers and baby wipes for a friend, the he is a good guy to have around, not only as a friend, but maybe as a future father figure since he has shown that he can take responsibility..... hope this helps!! :-)

it is a sweet and generous thought but a little bit freaky. women over anylise things too much so she will probably think you are trying too hard too impress her or worse, push your way into her family by trying to pose as a father figure. be very careful with your next move. dont scare her off

Well, it wouldn't really turn a girl off, but if u don't know eachother that well, it might freak her out...
The best thing u can do is build a foundation, get a bit closer to her, then turn the charm on.

I think that is very sweet. To me it's not a turnoff. Its someone helping someone else in their time of need. I think what you did was awesome. If it was me I would have said "thank you".
