What is the purpose of our lives here on the planet and why do they pass away so quickly? (The average human lifespan is only about 76 years or so)

You find your own purpose.

Some people live less than 76 years; others a bit longer. Length, however, is not purpose, and never has been. Martin Luther King Jr. was 39 years old when he died, yet he lived a life full of easily perceived purpose.

Whatever purpose you find, I hope that it fills you with passion, hope, and joy.

The purpose of your life is what you make it, you are free to be creative in your path. I personally would be happy and feel fulfilled by having a family, enjoying the world around me, and by leaving this world better than I found it.

The reason our lives are brief is due to the fact that there is no reason evolutionarily speaking for us to live any longer. We are alive with plenty of time to have children and pass on our genes. Modern medicine is responsible for why we now live as long as we do.

To carry on your genes to the next generation to insure the survival of the human species.

That's the real deal man.

If you take a long look at us, we have the most pleasure when we, reproduce eat and take care of our young.

We base our lives on those 3 factors.

the guy before me said: "We have no lasting purpose. Our bodies give us desires to satisfy while we are alive though. Satisfying your desires is the only purpose you have while alive. "

1.) what if my desire is to suspend your desires by enslaving you into my factory because I might have AK-47? Who can resolve the conflict between your desires?

2.) why satisfying desires is our purpose? who said so? my body never told me that... Iguess someone wrote it in hte book somwhere (perhaps to sell that book to you). :D

I believe that we are here to learn something. We chose our purpose when we decided to come here for this life.
