My mother, whose maiden name was Brewster, tells me that we are decendents of Rev.William Brewster, who was on the Mayflower. I have no way of verifying this, and I suspect that it might be made up, but who knows?

No, I came over on Flying Tiger Airlines that had propellers. My great ancestor the Marquis de Marchand went from France to England in 1066 with William the Conqueror.

Descendants are your offspring. You would mean "ancestors" ar "antecedants" or "are you a descendant of someone on the Mayflower ?"

I AM A DESCENDANT.....okay I know what you meant.no I got here by way of air.however I am told that my family did spend some time on ships with sails and rowers.I am dutch and aside from the spice trades we also dabbled quite lucratively in the ever shameful slave trade.sorry it wasn't me.and no I am not proud.
