My natural hair color is a medium brown, recently (2 weeks ago) I dyed it a midnight brown, bordering on black. The hair shampoo and conditioner that I had (John Freida for Brunettes) turned my black-ish dyes hair more like my original color after a week of washing it.

Okay, so the question..does anyone know a good brand of shampoo/conditioner to use on dyed black hair that isn't suuper expensive? k..thanks! :]:]

Redken Color Extend is the best I've found (and I've tried them all). It's not too pricey when you can find it on sale, I just paid $16.99 for both the shampoo and conditioner (but that also included the Align straightening balm & that normally costs aroung $15 by itself.)

Do you think Frederick Fekkai's products are expensive? If the budget is OK, you can try their technician line, it's really great.
