Years ago I started making baskets for my sons and their wives, including a few treats for the kids. I have a small fire - either outdoors or in, and have candles burning.

I'll probably go for a walk in the woods, meditate a little, then come home and light a few candles and go about my day normally. I try to keep things quiet, as not all members of my family are ok with me being pagan. And this year it looks like in the evening I may be going to an Irish music concert, as well.

Burning old snowboards and skis in a bondfire after the shortest day, using the dried evergreen tree to start the fire. We do this to make it snow. This ceremony also includes an elaborate dance around the fire.

Unless something changes, I'll be working. In spite of that, a small personal observance. One with lots of candles!
