Not in my experience. They can work for a while if there's an end in sight. It may even make the relationship better (absence makes the heart grow fonder). It's a question of how long. Given enough time, all long distance relationships will fall apart. There may be some exceptions to this rule, but those exceptions would be 1 in a million.

This is a very good question. I have found that you can have friends long distance, and form really good friendships. But for a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship like that does not work for all. Sure there are some folks that met on the net and once in a blue moon meet in person, and there are those who have met online and are living life fully as a couple. But you have to take in everything these days with a grain of salt. If you are in a long distance relationship and or working on one please take this advice really take time to get to know this person as fully as you get to know a person in person.

Yes, love is what you make it . I say this due to my husband is in Germany and I am in the states . It does however take a great deal of will power and prayer if you truly want it to work . I know people will try and make you think that other things are going on in the relationship , but you have to know that the person you are with wants to have the samethings in life you do . I have been with hubby for 5yrs and married to him just 1yr . We both travel alot and call . Anything will last with patience , love and most of all trust ...

I kept a relationship going for 6 months while I was deployed to Iraq. Yes the can work, but it does take a lot of patience and understanding on the parts of both people.

Well depends on many things..How old both of you are,,how long yall known each other and have you both met each other in person...The reason why I am asking is sometimes we find someone and start an online relationship with them..We trust them and fall in love only to find out they were lying to us all that time..Hearts get broken so easily online so it is always so much better to find someone you can actually date in person...Just be safe ok and follow your heart..God bless

It can eventually work out but both parties need to do their part in order for the relationship to survive. I've been away from my girlfriend for almost 1 year now and we're still going strong. I love her and I always try to do my part so she won't feel insecure in our relationship.

Hun not unless your willing to really put your heart out and the other person is to because how can you know if the other person is cheating on you with someone? But if your confident in the relationship and your sure it has room to grow then try and prove it to yourself.

Definantly not, I know from experience, I dated a guy.. like ... who lived an hour from me.. but came to visit his grand parents every weekend ish which live 15 mins from me.. and.. no it didnt work out, he ended up cheating on me when he went back home, ditched me for his friends, and wanted to get high, n drunk rather then see me, so No I would say they dont.. this is just one example... I have more.

Yes and no... You can have a long distance relationship... and it may work out. But you cant hug, kiss.. etc... so there will be a problem sooner or later cuz you would want those things..
