If they have small bumbs on them and are really itchy it could be eczema which is caused by allergies or stress. There is a cortizone that works really well on clearing up the small patches. If they are big though and you have allergies I would go see an allergenist to see if maybe the cause could be pinpointed.

Have you recently tried a new food, shampoo, deodorant or anything like that? It could be a minor allergic reaction or something...? You might not be getting enough vitamin D, or any other vitamin.

white flaky skin = psoriasis :) especially if they're shiny scales.

you lose color from skin pigmentation mostly if your in the sun a lot. Good luck :)
