Of COURSE they can "help" it! It was a sick twisted urge that once indulged in was easier to do yet again, until as the Bible says the conscience becomes SEARED and they commit these acts without remorse.

Yes I believe it is free will. People in todays society I think no right from wrong, whether they are taught it from parents or just life's examples. Even if you believe in God or not there are just things that "normal" people know is right or wrong. People know that stealing isn't right, or killing isn't right, but some people just seem to be driven to do so. I think that there is tell tale signs though. Jeffery Dahmer as a child like to kill small animals and do really weird and sick things to them. Now as a parent if you can't see that if what your child is doing is wrong then your not involved with your child enough, or if a friend sees this type of stuff is going on ya gotta think that your friend is sick. Are they born this way? Ya I think so in some cases, but on the other hand I think that some choose to be nasty. Why were they ever born? I can't answer that, but there had to be a reason...I think anyway.

It is indeed the choice of man to do such things. I'm sure he justified his crime every bit as good as the USA justifies the crimes against humanity in Iraq and whoever is responsible for the disaster at the WTC. No one is a victim of some otherworldly being. All of the evil in the world lies in the hearts of every single human being and is ALWAYS a personal choice on whether to let it show or not.

Yes, this is the dark side of human free will at work. I don't believe they were "born" that way; there were steps in their life that they chose to take, decisions that they made, that led to their lives of increasing barbarity. The fact that these individuals tend to commit MORE and more dastardly deeds shows the ever-increasing desire for more barbarity.
That is what the dark side is like: if you choose to feed it, it only keeps getting bigger, and demanding more!

No it is a decision, whether by proxy or by conditioning,God uses both innocent and sinner.the choices we make is what path we decide(our choice or free will) God may know which we would choose but he doesnt interfere. Then from those paths are destiny through choices by us and the world around us(which effect each ones self and the world around us)Every action causes reaction(all the way down to a butterfly effect)

Perception is reality, It is all in the eyes of the beholder, some might say he was a monster some might say he's a saint, Point is that it does not really matter, in the end it is not are place to judge only one being can make that decision. Though I do not believe in religion ,I do believe in god, And that is all that matters in the end.

They are not born that way. Everyone is born with choices to make and the choices that they made led them in the direction their lives took.

At some time in their life they allowed a spirit to enter them. This usually doesn't happen over night. They start out exploring the dark side and then eventually get sucked in.

Some have Cheerios for breakfast, some have Corn Flakes.
Some like old movies, some like rape and mutilation.
It's an urge. A sick, twisted urge.
