Well, I think it would probably be best to see the doctor and inquire about this. When you say, "other adult development", what exactly do you mean?

No, she just may have a high metabolism and may be growing up faster than some others. My girls both had the odor problem starting at age 4 or so. We just taught them to use a mild deodorant and that solved the issues. They bathed regularly so that was not the reason for the odor. The Dr. said that just happens to some kids. No worries.

girls are developing faster then ever now then in the past, and I would not be concerned. My daughter just had a sleepover for her 9th birthday, and has about 15 girls, ages, 8-10 that were there. Almost all of them where ahead of my daughter. They were developed in the chest, and were wearing bra's, and others had already started to shave their legs, were wearing deodorant, and all of those things. She may just be developing early, which is normal now days. But you can still take her to her normal doc. if you want to put your mind to rest.

i think so. my niece has a daughter 7 1/2, she has an aging disease, they first noticed a problem when she had adult odors. now she started her period in the 2nd grade. they have been giving her hormone shots. her body thinks she is in her 30's, pubic hair, underarm hair, everything. now she is in the early stages of menopause. you must ask a Dr about this. it may be nothing, but then again it could be a genetic thing that no body even knew was in the family. i can not think of the medical term. but check with doc, just to be safe.

I don't know what other adult development is, but I wouldn't be concerned about the BO from the armpits.

Give her some little deoderant.

Take her to the doctors if the other adult development is serious.

As I read your question, I recall another answer from the past involving smelling sweaty armpits. I saw a show on TV where this can be treated with botulism injection treatments (very expensive!). Botulism is a deadly bacteria that produces deadly toxins that can kill you; however, when used in very Small amounts, it can be used to treat a variety of things like sweaty armpits and wrinkly skin to reduce sweating or make you look younger again.

My daughter started her period right before she turned 8. Adolescence starts earlier now than when we were kids. You better start explaining to her about becoming an adult. Buy her some deodorant, and explain about the changes her body is beginning to make, yes that includes starting her period. Once she starts to develop breasts and pubic hair, the period is not far behind.

What is a mature odor? Can there be an immature odor?
Why are you telling us about this?

Can you not ask a doctor?

Yes, take her to a physician. My daughter is the same age, not with the same problem she just had a well child visit and is perfectly healthy.
