I wouldn't use them too much after the expiration date, 2 weeks at most. Also only use them if they have not been opened. When you think about it, is it worth it to even take the chance? Choice is up to you.

the date stamped on the package is to guarantee freshness. After that the guarantee is void. There are bread stores that sell day old bread and buns and stuff. They are fine to eat. By law they are not allowed to be sold at full price past the date shown. If you purchase them after that date at a markdown or a cut-price store then you can't return them for being stale. I've had some that I bought and they were still there after the date and they got hard as a rock. But a little dip in the tea softened them right up. They aren't unhealthy. Just stale.

If the package is not opened. You can cook and eat them. They may not rise correctly but you can still eat them. Alot of stores sell things which are out of date they just reduce the price. And alot of stores such as bent and dent stores sell thing which are out of date.
But if they are not opened and when you open them they are not molded you can cook and eate.

Stuff like that, because of the heavy preservation action of the sugar, they'll last maybe forever? Like candy? I think that exp. dates are given so that you'll buy their stuff more often. Just wipe off the green, if any.
