I need advice!?

My gf and I are trying the long distance thing and I feel as if it is not working I just want to b friends with her. She says she really really loves me and I am the onlything making her happy.I made promises like I would all ways love her. I dont want 2 hurt her feelings because then she would become literally depressed and do something out of character and I dont want that. I am not the type of person that breaks hearts. Everytime we talk and she says that she loves me I always say it back so she does not get a clue. what should I do? or what would u do?
