depends what time of the day we're talking and if the tree is placed next to the pole, in actual fact a tree can be but a few feet and cast a 12 foot shadow, so be more specific!

A pole and a tree would cast different shadow Becaue of the branches.It might even have to do witchway the sun is pointing.Otherwize it would be 4.5 feet
