You can use any stamp or combination of stamps that add up to 75c for a post card or 84c for a one-ounce letter. The rate is the same for anywhere in the world outside North America.

Go to the post office and they will sell you the right stamp. It costs $1.70 for 2 ounces air mail letter post - depending on the weight of the letter.

I send letters to France all the time because my aged Mother-in-law will not learn to use email. Love her but she's 85 and not into tech stuff.

The rates are different according the the country. I ran the Netherlands and this is the answer I got.

Just a normal US stamp. If you're just sending a letter in a normal envelope, it's the normal one stamp. I send letters to Germany, and it's just normal postage. Take it to your local post office...they'll make sure you have the right amount of postage.

That relies upon on the size and weight of the letter, and which united states you're sending it from, and you do not point out that. basically take the letters to yor community positioned up place of work and ask for suggestion.
