150 million km is the distance between the earth and the sun.
This proves that the time it takes for the suns light to reach earth is 8 minutes...not seconds

the Earth is about 8 1/2 light minutes away from the Sun.
go figure.(hint-1 light year is the distance that will take light to travel in 1 year.)
