i want to get a lower lip piercing or a monroe piercing; after it's healed and stuff if i take out the labret for school or work, will it look like i have a huge hole in my face or will it look alright?

It SHOULD look alright, other than the small hole, after it has healed all the way. If it looks like a gaping, monstrous thing from planet X, you need to see a doctor. I would wear it to school, because lip peircings look kick a$$ awesome, but depending on your job, not to work. Like, if you are the CEO of some big company, no definitly not. But if you are working at some mall store, fine. Make sure you are keeping it clean though, because if it gets infected it looks nasty.
I would go with a lower lip peircing on the side, not the middle, or a monroe peircing. Thats just my opinion, but I think it looks awesome on the side. Make sure you go to a good place, and ask for recomendations from people. Be very clear about what you want, and make sure you know what you want (you could also get both a lip and monroe, that would rock)

You can always wear a retainer while you are at school or work. They are somewhat invisible and will keep the piercing from closing up. That is a much wiser choice than just leaving the piercing without jewelry (even healed, it can be a tight fit getting the jewelry in by the end of the day. I've taken my labret out for a day after I had it for a year and it was a pain getting it back in)
You can find them on many online stores and at piercing shops. They are very cheap as well.

First of all- it takes a long time for a lip peircing to heal enough to be able to take it out for an extended period of time so you better be willing to wear it all the time for 6 months to a year.
Second- I had a peircing under my lower lip in the middle and now that the peircing is out there is definitely a hole. For me it's pretty much hidden because it's under the lip. But it would be very noticeable if it was not hidden. It looks really weird to have a HOLE on your face-

i had my Monroe pierced and i loved it, one day i went for a job interview cuz i wasn't sure if they wud hire me with it. so i took it out and it closed within 20 mins..i was sooo pissed. i had it for like a yr and no it didn't leave a hole or a scar, you can barely see where it was. I'm thinking on re-piercing it
