I know this isn't the answer you want to hear but you should take it slow. Start off by adding some exercise into your diet (go for a walk before work/school, sign up for a lesson, do something your interested in but didn't think you could do if your worried talk to the instructor first and explain what you are hoping to achieve)
Also start looking at your diet and what/where you need to change things. Start really easy replace unhealthy snacks with healthier ones and do the same things for meals.
I found the Oprah boot camp a great start. Although the the beginning it is kind of rough. (www.oprah.com)
Also, try talking to your doctor first, before you start anything. He/She may have advice or important warnings for you.
But please for your health don't attempt to lose 10 pounds a day. You might gain for a short while but it won't help for the long haul. This type of crash dieting only leads to putting the weight (usually plus more) back on and causes it's own health problems and will not help you live longer. You need a full lifestyle change to help you do what you want to do and succeed.

If you lose too much weight too fast, you can put some serious strain on your heart and other organs. I know how you feel about being ridiculed for weight, but you have to go about this the right way or else the weight will all come back.
Talk to a nutritionist. Start an exercise program (cardiovascular and incorporate some strength training to get rid of the fat and put in some muscle). You'll probably lose about 1-2 lbs a week. But once it starts, it'll go by fast.
Just please do this the healthy way. You don't want to jeopardize your health in order to lose weight to make other people stop making fun of you.
I recommend the site Sparkpeople to you. It lets you track everything that you eat, put in your goal weight (it gives you how much you should be eating based on your weight and what you want to weigh), it sets up how much you should exercise a week, and overall is just a fantastic site. The people on there are great for support if you need it. It's helped me immensely. Tracking what I eat has been the key in me losing weight. Since I started with it in June, I'm down at least 30 lbs.
Good luck, I sincerely mean it. I hope you acheive your goals in a healthy way, and remember, the goal to lose weight is now a life changing event. You have to keep up this new lifestyle in order to keep your goals. Again, good luck!

10 pounds a week is not healthy. Try Weight Watchers. It's the best way to learn how to keep your weight where it should be and stay healthy. Remember, you didn't gain 10 pounds a week so don't try and lose 10 pounds a week. Take your time and do it right and you'll stay healthy for a long long time.
And don't worry about what others say. Lose the weight for the right reasons.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Hi
These are some of the things that has helped me loose weight..as I am battling back from an injury (from running)
1. drink your weight in water...so here is the formula
how much you weigh divided by 8 and that is the number of 8 ounce glasses of water you drink. (you can count decaf tea, crystal light as water)
2. stay away from soda/tonic and alcohol
3. Eat an apple before each meal
4. eat at least 2 cups of vegetables at every meal and at least one cup of fruit (I usually do this before the meal or at the beginning fo the meal so that I am not as hungry)
5. Eat at least one piece of multi grain bread (I usually eat 2 slices)
6. Take the stairs when possible at work/school
7. Park in the furthest away parking spot at mall/or super market
8. When the weather is nice..i usually bike or walk to the post office or bank or to run small errands (if around 5 miles or less)
9. walk at least a half hour a day (you will feel good after you do this)
10. Keep a food journal (note the reason you are eating..hungry, stress, emotional, etc)..Then try to eat 5 small meals a day.
11. dont save a lot of stuff to go up or down the stairs..with me..our laundry is in the cellar..so i literally bring 2 socks down, come back up and then get the rest of the laundry...make many trips..cardio
12. you can make your own step machine..by using old telephone books
13. freeze crystal light into ice cubes..and then put in water....taste good!
good luck..think healthy....
it is not a diet..but a healthy eating/exercising life style..

You cannot lose 10 lbs in one week in a healthy way. It also would not stay off if you could.
You need to lose it in a healthy way. You don't say how much your weigh or your age, that makes a difference.
I am more concerned that you are being teased. What you really need to do is begin to protect yourself from people like that. How dare they comment on your weight. I suggest you get in their face and let them know it's none of their business.
You need to be happy with yourself. Looks are not everything. Eat healthy, drink water, not sodas, exercise and enjoy your life.

10 pounds in a week is extreme, but doable. It might not stay off but whatever...
Eat oatmeal in the morning, because it keeps you fuller longer (only a cup though, not too much). Sweeten it with splenda.
Then go for a light jog, as long as you need to feel a difference.
Then eat a piece of fruit
When your hungry, drink a huge bottle of water and chew some gum.
When you start getting disillusioned (towards the late afternoon), go for another jog instead of saying "screw this" and eating your problems away. Running will take your mind off of it and you know for a fact that your making a difference.
For lunch and dinner, eat things like chicken, fruit, veggies. And you're going to need a starch because you'll have too much of a withdrawal without them. So put garbanzo beans or corn, or any type of bean on your salad to have some starch.
At night, drink a bottle of water before you go to bed, and eat a couple rice cakes or something, so you don't wake up in the middle of the night hungry.
Hope this helps! I'm trying too (although 5 lbs in week one would suffice)

There is a very easy way to lose ten pounds in one week...For three days, eat nothing but red meat and salad. Eat all you want, but no salt, you can season with garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder. The salad can have no salad dressing, unless you want to put on a little red wine vinegar. But, it's best to just eat it plain. Drink eight glasses of water a day for the three days, and only water. I guarantee you will lose ten pounds or more in three days without being hungry. Oh, red meat means red meat. Steaks are easiest, but you can also make hamburger patties. You can fry the meat or grill it if you want. But, don't use any oil. Use non-stick fry pan. (The meat will make the oil you need). Good Luck.

If you want to feel better about yourself and live longer, you need to make permanent changes for a healthy lifestyle. Losing 10 pounds in a single week is extremely far from healthy. If you lose 1 or 2 you would have done very well!

Go with a nutricionist will tell you how to eat healthy and be in shape, trying to lose 10pounds in a week is not a healthy thing 'cause your body would gain this weight faster if you don't do it in a healthy way. Good luck you can do it.
