Two all time greats. Two different styles, Benitez would wait for his opponents to lead so he could counter. I don't think that style would work against Pryor. Pryor was relentless, he gave his opponents no time to breath. Pryor would come out from the opening bell throwing punches and landing them. Due to Pryor's iron chin I think he could handle anything Wilfred could throw at him. Pryor by KO round 9 and Benitez would take a beating, due to the shear volume of punches Pryor would throw. Benitez would not be the same afterwards. No insult to Wilfred, I just think Pryor was that good.

Interesting match up here! Pryor was a strong pressure fighter with a good chin and good power. Benitez was a master defensive fighter who could counter you silly and at welter he was naturally the bigger man. It seems like Pryor's style would be tailor-made for Benitez, but Pryor was so strong and compact the he would try to smother Benitez with punches and just stay on top of him and that would make it hard for Benitez to react. Even though Benitez is the naturally bigger fighter, i think he lacked the power to seriously hurt Pryor because he wasn't a big puncher (though he did ko jr. middleweight champ Maurice Hope with one shot) and Pryor had a good beard. I would give this fight to Pryor by him simply outworking Benitez and landing more punches inside. Pryor by a 15 rd. unanimous decision.

This would be a great fight I am going to ask you a question who was the only fighter Sugar Ray Leonard did not fight it was Aaron the Hawk Pryor Sugar Ray is a very smart man Aaron Pryor only lost one fight and that was to my stable mate Bobby Joe Young and this was after Pryor was on drugs and was not active for a while. Hawk who beat ALEXIS ARGAALO would stop Benoite inside of 10 rounds Benoite could not keep the Hawk off of him and Benoite was not a knock out fighter I wish we could see this fight
