No. Sound only occures when waves travel through the air and something intercepts them that interprets them into sound. Your ear is a recepter of sound waves and sends messages to your brain which acts as a computer and tells you what sound you are hearing. If no ears are around, then the waves just travel of into the air.

For that matter, is the tree green, if you haven't seen it? The problem here is that sounds and colors are not part of the environment but are instead the results of interactions between humans and the environment. About all we can say is that if such a tree were to fall, and there were (not "was" but "were") someone around to hear it, then it would make a sound, as far as that someone is concerned. It doesn't make a sound otherwise.

Technically, yes it does. It still sends waves into the air which the human ear would interpret as sound. It's like asking if there is nobody around to feel an earthquake, does the ground shake? The answer is still yes.

A falling tree creates pressure variants in its surrounding area which propagates outward. These pressure waves continue until friction diminishes them into the background. Sound occurs only when a receiver detects these pressure waves. So, by definition if no receiver is present, then no sound is made.

a sound is a change in air's velocity, pressure and density and when this air come in your ear the the tymban vibrates and your brain translate this into sound. So if you are not their to hear it this sound (change in the air) is still a sound because if a bird was passing near the tree would have heard the sound

No. It is a little known fact that when falling trees are secluded and unwitnessed, they just strip off their bark and run around naked until they find some nice soft grass to roll in.

More importantly, if a tree falls in the forest, and it falls on a mime, does anybody care?
