I knew this boy ever since I was about 6 yrs old and our parents know each other. By the time as I got into the 8th grade he started liking me but I never gave him a chance. I would tell him "I can't because I see you as just a friend." But even though I told him no, he would still be there for me. The day came when I had to move away from home and eventually he found someone, but our friendship was still strong. Even though he was in a relationship with someone else, he still had feelings for me. I'm in the 12th grade now and he is out of school. I talked to him last night and unexpectedly, he starts to express his feelings for me. He told me he wants to be with me and he loves me. I told him long distance relationships do not work but he is willing to wait.....and to top it off...my mom likes him!!!

true love can wait!!! give him a chance to prove to you how much he really loves you and maybe when you finally see how much he cares for you, you might love him too!

Have you ever been in a long-distance relationship.. or are you just using that old cliche? I was in an 800+ mile relationship for five years and I married the girl. So there is hope.

Um, I think you have one of the best guys right there waiting for you. One, don't keep him waiting. He's not going to wait forever, he's waited long enough. And you never once gave it a chance. I think it's time to be together. As for your mom, umm... I got nothing to say. That's just weird. But go get that boy! Jeez, what are you waiting for. He's one in a million, dear!

wow, that's potentially problematic. now first off do you like back? cuz if not then im afarid you're gonna have to hurt him just a little bit. if u do like him then go for it girl. long distance doesn't usually work b/c the guys aren't trustworthy not to cheat, but if he's waited this long u have no worries

you havn't actually said your feelings for him...are you just starting to reconsider cos he shows you complete devotion and worships the ground you walk on or do you actually like him? just cos he seems perfect (as you parents like him etc) it doesn't neccessarily mean he is right for you. really think about it.
