Depends upon how old the tent is, what material it is made of and whether it already has any small tears of other cuts at locations conducive for a small animal to access.
Yes, if there are things in the tent that attract them, it is possible for small animals to get into the tent by ripping it open.

Yes, we have squirrels that rip up everthing in our backyard... our kids plastic toys, they tried to drag away a pinata from a birthday party...they've completely chewed and destroyed lots of things, I am 100% sure squirrels could go inside a tent.

I would say they could, raccoons are very destructive. We were on a fishing trip once and had fish in our truck bed with a cab on it. The raccoons almost ruined the gasket on the back window of the cab trying to get inside.

A raccoon would be more likely to do it if there was food inside or a dog would. I do have pictures of a squirrel trying to break into my pickup truck though.

You gott a watch them nocturnal squirrels. They will tear your tent to shreds and then just chew you to pieces. I had this one squirrel attack me and it chewed off three of my fingers and part of my thumb.

Both could, and would, if there was food inside it and you were not. I doubt they would if you were in there.
