Your fiance's brother-in-law is a little psycho; I guess now you will find out how your fiance handles this. The brother-in-law won't change; can your future husband protect you from this craziness and give you a peaceful home? How does the rest of the family act, and how does he handle them?

Just give him a puppy... it isn't worth the fight. He may never get over it. Be the bigger person. You will feel better, you will always have bills. Seriously, I mean this in the most friendly and understanding way. He has put you in an awful position. Don't let a puppy get in between your husband and his brother. He will always blame you. Ok? Good luck!

No, I think you have a right to be a bit miffed over this, but you shouldn't let it get to you. Your soon-to-be brother in law is way out of line threatening you with manipulating his brother. How does this make your fiancee feel? I'd be angry with anyone trying to use me like that to get something they want. Future bro in law's behavior is tacky, but sadly, it's up to you to be the bigger person.

He is definitely taking this too far and he might even have behavioral problems.
Anyway, i would suggest giving him the puppy just to keep peace within the family, and maybe find some other way to pay off the bills...

OK, I'm confused, who lives with who. Keep the puppy and tell your man to tell his brother-in-law to sit down, shut up and mind his own business. His brother-in-law is going to make your man leave his house? I would ask him who died and left him lord of the manor. Tell him to grow up and get a life.

He sounds a bit like a jerk to me. It is, after all, your dog, not his, so he seems out of line to me. It is your decision to do what you want with the puppies.

Besides, you are a woman, and he should know that women have the right to change their minds.

You are not stupid OR wrong. Tell him that you might give him a discount since he is soon to be family, but that is it. Why do I feel like we don't have the whole story?

If you told him you would give him one when she was pregnant, you should stick to your word. It sounds like this could make or break your relationship with your fiance' and family is more important. Keep your word and next time, don't open your mouth.

You have the right to change your mind at any time. You do not have to give anyone a free puppy.

He also has the right to make you leave his house.

It is not about who is right and who is wrong. You both have the right to do as you please.
