No, the left side has more details and the eye is drawn to the left. Almost casting out the right in its unimportance.

Clement Greenberg said 'Edward Hopper is quite simply bad. But if he were a better painter he would not be such a great artist' ( possibly not an exact quote as I have this from a french book on Hopper.)
I cannot add anything more after that !!! Except for us europeans Hopper sums up America.

There are lots of kinds of balance.. The big porch overbalances the trees. so, that is size imbalance.
But in the house there are curves/ straights, diagonals/ horizontals, warms/cools and others that show perfect balance.. Note how the warm red dress tends to complement (balance) the cool blue wall.
