I think making fun of you behind your back with a friend is more hurtful than cheating on you. Should I forgive?

my bf broke up with me and then tried to go out with my best friend. I forgave him because I wanted to 'keep' him; naturally, it didn't work out that way. why do you want a guy who makes fun of you behind your back?

My man went up north recently, and had a one night stand. We have a great relationship, I know he loves me, and we worked through this problem. I forgave him, but I am not saying it still doesn't hurt. After almost four years of being together, I love him deeply and feel the relationship is worth saving. He went to get tested for any STD's, probably because I insisted. He knows it was a stupid thing to do. The trust may take awhile to get back, but I think we'll be ok. Funny thing is, all the advice I give to others, like dump him, etc., is not something I am going to do in my own situation. If he reads this, I hope he knows how much he means to me! Sometimes in life, we have to learn from our mistakes and forgiveness is sometimes the key to better relationships.

They both hurt about the same but the most hurtful thing that anyone can do is a rape on a person especially if you thought that they were your friend or if you were dating but if your a forgiving person like myself you forgive them but you don't forget and the most hurtful thing that a guy ever did to me that I forgave him for was a fiancee of mine cheated on me with my best friend and I forgave him. Life is too short to hold on to a grudge so forgive but don't forget for then it can't happen again.

He cheated on me with my sister, she didn't know we were together, than while they were cheating on me, he cheated on her with the other sister, she didn't know they were dating. So he worked all the sisters at one time. We all figured it out when we were playing Truth or Dare, I forgave him and dated him for 3 years. This Tuesday it will be 1 month since I broke up with him because he cheated on me with another girl in a different state, I live in MS he lives in GA.

Saying something behind your back is not more hurtful than cheating. Especially if you were married and pregnant. That happened to me.

My ex- bf decidede to cheat on me with my ex best friend. But my m8's found out and put him in hospital. But now i have forgiven him beacuse he is a really good mate. Even tho things didn't work out i forgave him. If your gf is doing this to u maybe u need to ask her why... talk to her and find out wat the problem was. U should 4give her unless the reason is not fair.
I hope it all works out for u..

I forgave my husband for calling me by his ex-wife's name in the throws of passion, I think you can forgive your bf. Cheating is a- whole-nuther animal.

yes forgive! but nothing comapres to cheating! you must be crazy! so what if he says some things! at least he's not sleeping with another woman, basically saying "im bored of you and im sleeping with her" but that is not even as close to being as hurtful as cheating!!!!!!!!!

what ever he said tell him to grow up and give him another chance and see what happens from there

but if he ever cheats leave him! he's not worth your time!!

NO, he is being disrespectful. How can his friends respect you if he doesn't?

I know babe, I spent 15 years with someone who when I told him as we seperated that I had never felt like he respected me he told me rather quickly that I was right, he hadn't respected me until I started running a tax office....I slipped my wedding rings off and never looked back.

He asked me out on a date, just to break my heart.
I forgave him, because he thought he was doing what's best.
