Are you crazy? This is YOUR problem not the puppy's. I suggest you take some anxiety pills and get over yourself. HOLY COW! It's an INFANT for heaven's sake. I hope you don't have children.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!! First of all, why the heck to you have a 4 week old puppy?? Pups should NEVER be taken away from their moms until at least 7 weeks, I prefer 8-12 weeks. And puppies are mouthy, they are exploring what they can do. Also starting to grow puppy teeth so just like a baby, they will chew on stuff to make it feel better. Never ever put a puppy to sleep for "biting". Many are just teething, or if they are mouthy they can be taught not to. There are many differences in biting. Agression, resource guarding.. pain... this is none of those and normally isnt for puppies .. but 4 weeks.. that pup should still be with its mom... for at least another month

Are you serious???

Why do you have a four week old puppy anyway? Bring it back to the breeder, puppies arn't weaned until 6 weeks of age, and shouldn't be seperated from the litter until 8-10 weeks.

Puppies bite as play, its up to the littermates or human parents to teach it what kind of biting is acceptable, with a squeal and ignoring the puppy, which is how its peers would respond to too hard of a bite.

Please research proper puppy training methods after that poor puppy grows to an acceptable age to seperate it from its mom.

Did the bite break your skin? Has the puppy had the proper medical care, including starter shots in the vaccination series?

A puppy should not be separated from its mother until it can eat solid food - 8 weeks - 10 weeks old.

Take it back where you got it from.

Don't accept a puppy that is under age, and don't accept a puppy that has not had the proper vaccination series for its age.

This poster seems like a troll.

I think you must be joking. You should not even have a puppy that is 4 weeks old. That is too young to be away from the mother. Anyone who would ask a silly question like that would know better, that puppies DO bite, it is called puppy biting.

I hope this is a joke...

NO, you should not put your 4 week old puppy to sleep because it bit you. However, you might look into turning it over to a reputable rescue organization who could find it a suitable home.

No but you should be "put to sleep" for even asking such a question. But of course you knew you would get adverse reactions to this question and that is why you posted it. People on here like you should be banned from askyahoo. What are you like 12 years old with the mind of a 5 year old and think you are so cute for making up a question like this? You will probably grow up to be a mass murderer, another John Wayne Gacey.

No, but maybe it should be in a more understanding home. Puppies are playful, and they use their mouths to play. What you consider a bite, is just playing to that puppy.
Also, why do you have a 4 wk old puppy? They shouldn't be seperated from littermates & mother, until they are 8-12wks old.
