How do you know they aren't true? The Gnostic's were some of the first followers of Christ and his teachings before Christianity really got big. The church didn't want these books in the bible. The church doesn't want you to know a lot of things. Do you know why priests are not allowed to me married? Because in the old days you had to be a nobleman with money to be a priest or pope. When the priests died they left their estates to their families, not the church. Then the rules changed, that's the reason that they cannot be married now.

If you do your research, you'll find that Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute, and that Jesus wasn't the first child of and Mary's.

I ask you all to do your research. Which bible is the oldest, how come we have some many different versions of the christian bible? Man is older than religion, find out what there was before organized religion. Look up the true meaning of Paganism. Read about the Christian Crusades. Question the different interpretations of the bible. Who wrote the bible? Man did hmmmm....

I believe in a divine being, however I don't believe in organized religion. If you read the different bibles, some say Jesus died on a cross, some say he died on a stake with his hands above his head, overlapping with a nail driven through them both ( one nail, two hands). where does that leave the Father the Son, and the Holy Spirit. People, don't just believe what you're told or what you read and take it for granted. Did you know that when they restored the the original version of the Last Super that it had been painted over and when they took off the old layers of paint it was Mary Magdalene that sat to the right of Jesus. Do your research. I could go on and on but I won't. I'm 53 years old and I've had organized religion shoved down my throat for years. Then I started questioning older wiser people of the church, and they couldn't give me logical or reasonable answers, so I began to do the research on my own. I have my own mind and so do you, so use it. I am a very spiritual person, but not a religious person. I don't mean to disrespect anyone's views on religion etc. Think about this. Do you know that some religions, and I won't mention which ones are the biggest money making and land owners in the world, and also have the biggest archives of paintings and antiques, writings that dispel their beliefs or what they want you to believe in their possession.

A mind is a beautiful thing to waste.

Love and Light to all of you..... It's all very fascinating research.

I find it interesting that you only want to approach them with the intent of seeing "how wrong they are", and then wonder why people won't even bother to imagine that what you preach may be right. Try an open mind, it's a good way to learn how to find them in others.

They are Gnostic Scriptures. You can buy them at some bookstores, or check out university libraries.

In regard to the long answer above, these books were named after followers of Jesus, but I'm pretty sure they were written by other people long after their deaths. In fact, I'm 99.9% sure.

Good luck!

How do you know they are not true? You may be wrong. The book you seek is called the lost books of the Bible. Each book is for sale if you have the money.

Ya, you won't find them in the bible. A religious store might have an idea.
