If you can remember the name of the vet hospital where he got his microchip at, they will most likely have your dogs file and can tell you what his microchip number is. Also, that information should have been sent to the vet you are currently using, so they may also know your dogs microchip ID.
The first thing that I would do is go around the neighborhood looking for your dog, and make sure someone is by your phone in case someone calls that found your dog.
Then I would put up posters.
Hope this helps, and good luck.

I would talk with the vet who micro-chipped him and make sure that the information you entered when you had the microchip put in is still accurate (in case you have moved etc.) If a shelter finds him I think they always scan for a microchip, so in the mean time post signs and wait for the phone to ring.

Do you remember what company you registered the microchip with? If you do, go to their web site and see what they suggest. YOu could also contact the breeder and see what she suggests. Check with your local animal shelters and dog pound and put an ad in the paper.

Call vets and shelters and ask if anyone has seen him or come up with him. Vets and shelters always scan for a chip if it is a stray brought in so hopefully you will get a call soon! If its just a person that found him well then.. hopefully they are trying to find you. Put an ad in the paper and put up flyers at pet stores, feed stores and other public places...

Call a vet or animal shelter and see how you go about finding a dog that has been micro chipped. Humane Society should be able to help you. You've made me think. My dog is micro chipped but I never thought of what to do if he were to get lost. Good Luck to you.

If you can't remeber the name of the chip co., Hopefully you properly filled out you "return home" paper work. If so start posting Lost Dog signs and hope for the best. Then google the chip co.s and try to find yours. Good luck.

Contact the vet who installed the microchip. That is who will be contacted when the dog is found. Good luck!

Call a vet in the new area, and animal control and shelters. Get them pictures of the dog and explain that he's got a chip, but you lost the paperwork on it.

If someone finds him, hopefully they'll know to scan him, and then the shelter or vet can contact you.
Until then, post ''Lost Dog'' fliers at local neighborhoods, vet clinics, pet stores, and shelters. Provide a picture, if possible.
