My favorite, and the only kind I like to us are the spitfires. I have had no trouble with them opening and they go through bone pretty well too. Shot a buck in the neck this fall and he dropped like a rock.

The type of broadhead depends mostly on your setup. On big thing you need to do is target shoot with your broadheads before going out into the field as they may not shoot properly as your bow like mine is tuned to bullet/field points.
Reason i say target shoot as the shaft you have may not work with your broadheads so its matching game until you get the setup correct.
As for what to get depends on the setup again. I'd suggest fixed 3 blade broadheads. especially if you have lower poundage. You can go with spring loaded ones but the issue with those is if they will have enough impact to open them up on the target. again trial and error
As for brand it really comes down to personal choice in which i use Muzzy 100grain 3 fixed blade broadheads and have had good shooting with them
Hope this helps

I use 120 grain Muzzy's. I have killed many deer with them and know others that rely on them for bear hunting also. There is a reason why their nick-name is the bone crusher!
I spined a white-tail and he dropped right there. I have been still using that same broadhead 2 years later!

I've always used ones like the muzzy or innerlock type broadheads, but check out the one in the link. Pretty wild stuff.
Here's a quote from a forum I came across.
"I find that Wensel Woodsmen three blades fly straight and are quiet out of my compound. Also, the G5 three blades are equally accurate and quiet. Obviously, I like three blades, but these two do do the job for me."
Good luck and happy hunting!

100 grain muzzy thats the best out there . it gives you a quick clean kill. but you have to shoot a deer in the right spot with any broad head .ive killed deer with old time broad heads and muzzy's they are the best .

I use ThunderHeads in 100 grain. Your weight should be determined by your bow set up (arrow length, bow poundage)
