Jude Deveraux writes great ones. My favorites are An Angel for Emily and A Knight in Shining Armor, but almost all of her books are great.

If you like historical romance...anything by Bertrice Small would be great. I've read all of her books and just love them. Johanna Lindsay is another good author. Her books are a little more tame, but still really good.

A woman who is cheating on her hubby, who is very abusive. The guy she is cheating with is a real stand-up guy, but she is afraid to leave the abusive hubby. All the drama plays itself out.
