Okay, now that I've taken time to collect myself and call my mother, let me calm down and tell you what's going on.

We adopted my brother "Jess" about two or three months ago. Anyway, he came from an abusive background, and for awhile, it was rough around the house.

When I learned that my uncle had been abusing my brother (my real brother) and "Jess," I pulled a few strings, and to make a long story short, he's arrested.

He's been threatening my real brother ever since he was placed in prison - I don't know what kind of threats, but it was enough for my bro to admit he was freaked out. (He's 15.)

Now, my brother is three hours late past his cerfew, and we have recieved news that our uncle's broken out of jail. My brother asked a question to my dad, and my dad punched him.

Shortly after I asked a question here I called my mom, and she's on her way home. I'm scared that my broter was kidnapped but no search is going on. What should I do?

there isn't really anything that you can do at this point. notify that authorities as to what is going on and make sure that they know that your uncle has been threatening your brother. after that, the only thing you can do is wait. your brother won't be considered missing until he's been gone for 24 hours. call all his friends and see if they have seen him.

Immediately call a professional at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This is a 24 hour hotline: 1-800-843-5678 (1-800 THE LOST). They will only take a report from a parent, but they will tell you exactly what you need to do and give you other resources in your area.

A missing persons report has to be made with the police first, then a report with NCMEC. You *will* get help, they are awesome!

Have you called the cops? Once you do that get your family and friends and split out in groups to look for him. Have pictures to show around and go to places he hangs out at and ask if anyone has seen him or knows where he may be. Good Luck!

Have you called the cops and told them the situation? I have a hard time believing that if your uncle has broken out of jail and made threats to your brothers that they WOULDN'T be searching...

Call the cops. Tell them that his dad is out of jail and has been threatening him. Tell them that he is three hours past his curfew. Go out and look for him too. That means you care about him.
