I got baptised at a young age. I grew up in church. I am 18, and i have been recently been praying prayers like "Jesus, please save me from hell" "Pleae, be my Lord and Savior"...like i seem to be worried about going there. Jesus said not everyone who says to me lord, lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven. and He also said wide is the path that leads to destruction, narrow is the road that leads to life and only a few find it. Is getting saved more than just accepting Christ as your Savior?

I definitely know that you have to genuinly believe, but some of the other stuff depends on the denomination of Christianity you follow.

Remember in Matthew 6 ,Jesus says not to pray the same thing over and over again. When the priests of Baal did that ,Elijah said,"Maybe your god is deaf or he went on vacation!" Our God hears us,and if you trust Jesus for Salvation ,rest in it.That what the Sabbath is teaching us.Rest in the finished work of Christ Jesus. He knows if you meant it or not and I'm sure you did.The ones that say "Lord Lord",are the phony baloneys you see making mechandise off God's name. Not the true believers.FAITH + 0 = Salvation.Good works will blossom like fruit on a good tree, just enjoy the bloom.

Getting saved means more than accepting christ. You accept, believe in him and commit your life unto him. If you do these things and even and are sure the life you are leading is in the will of God, then there's nothing to fear.
Matthew 7:24 says "So then ANYONE who hears these words of mine AND OBEYS them is like a wise man who built his house on a rock". Therefore if you obey his words and practice them then you will be saved and not go to hell.

Now that you've accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your adventure has just begun. Now, you will begin to learn how to follow Him...and that is not always easy. In order to be able to follow Him, you will have to get to know Him. The only way to get to know someone, is to spend time with them...that is also true of Jesus. Spend time getting to know Him, and He will lead you in the way you ought to go....

You have a precious gift from the Spirit!

Am I saved?

With faith I hope that I will be in Heaven. With fear of offending God I serve the Lord.

It makes you a better apologetic if you remember to be afraid.

Paul did not judge even himself, until he had fought the good fight, then he took some comfort.

Well sure hon, accepting Him is just the first step! It's the following Him part that's next for you, you need to study what Jesus said and do things the way He would do them. It will transform your life in so many wonderful ways, there simply isn't room on this forum to explain how lol.

If you have done the following things, then you are destined for heaven and God doesn't want you to worry:

1)Have you admitted you are a sinner and asked God to forgive all your sin?

2)Have you committed yourself to follow him.....in other words are you allowing him to be the Lord of your life?

It's that simple.

Listen to John's words: "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who HAS the Son HAS life; He who does not have the Son of God, does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may KNOW that you HAVE eternal life."-- 1 John 5:11-13.

If you have committed to him in your heart, which doesn't mean you have to understand everything about it; then you already have eternal life in you. You can never really die; only your body can die, but you have already passed from death to life. Listen to John again: "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me HAS ETERNAL LIFE AND WILL NOT BE CONDEMNED; he HAS CROSSED OVER from death to life."-- John 5:24.

You see, God not only wants you to have eternal life, he wants you to know with confidence that you have it. So, if you have Jesus Christ, DO NOT worry!!!

My Brother. The one and only thing I feel you need is the Assurance of salvation. This is the one thing that a lot of the falsehood of Christianity, as well as some Worldly religions, like Islam, has in common. No Complete Assurance of Salvation.

The Assurance of Salvation takes away all fear.

I like the reply of the three Hebrew children, of whom the king was going to cast into the furance of fire, if they didnt stop worshiping their God, and bow to his.

They said that; If it be so, our God whom we serve is "ABLE" to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. (Daniel 3:17)

Jesus in John 10:27-30, says; My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is "ABLE" to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

I and my Father are one.

Our Assurance of Salvation is also seen in many of Pauls writtings in the words "in Christ"

In Romans 8:1 Paul writes; There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are "in Christ Jesus" who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

In 2 Corinthians 5:17 Paul writes; Therefore if any man be "in Christ" he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

When you see the words "in Christ" picture yourself as a piece of paper, placed inside a book. Then, where ever that book goes, you go with it.

You know where you are Spiritual, right now? Youre seated with Jesus, on the right hand of the Father. And "Not" in or headed to Hell!

In Ephesians 2:4-6 Paul writes; But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us (given us life) together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and "made us" sit together "in heavenly" places "in Christ Jesus:"

Blessed Assurance Jesus is yours. and you are His. We all feel this way at times, because we know that we are not perfect when we compare ourselves to the perfection of Christ. You are worrying unnecessarily. He heard your cry to Him and you are His.You are on the narrow road, my friend don't get discouraged or frightened, Child of God.

You believe but you act (mentally at least) as if you don't. In psychology this is called "cognitive dissonance."
Just try to be a little more logical. God probably heard you the first time you asked.

No, the Bible tells us to work out our own Salvation with fear and trembling. Those who dont get a false sense of security and will likely go lukewarm and be spit from Jesus' mouth
