You have an interesting question.
I've heard of hoyt bows but personally have not shot one so I won't judge them. Its intersting you say its red as I believe most coloured ones are your target shooting bows. As for what its worth I'd say not a heck of alot just because its used. If outfitted its probably worth between 75 and 200 bucks. The weight isn't bad... Although it would have to be cranked up to 40 - 50 for hunting.

Since you say your not too sure about it take it to an archery shop and they can tell you alot more about it and even set you up with it.

Personally i'd suggest trading the hoyt off at the archery shop and investing in a new bow that fits your needs. Bows are very personal devises. They are set up for each person and buying a used one unless you take it in and tune it up for YOU, its gonna shoot well less accuracy. And really for say 500 - 600 bucks you can have an excellent set up for hunting and 3d shooting.

I hope that helps and good luck in archery !

Hoyt makes a decent bow.. Depending on what the bow is equipped with (quiver, sites, overdraws, etc) aslo if it is a single or double cam will determine what the bow is worth... The 35-50# weight is the draw tension of the bow... All in all I would say that it may be worth $150 or more...

Expensive when new as they all are, but used they do not hold their value. Basically you have an old 35-50 pound draw bow.If you are interested in bow hunting you will want to take it to a bow shop to make sure it is all in working order and that the strings , pulleys etc are still in good shape.Things will deteriorate over time and you wouldnt want to miss a good kill or shot because of equipment failure. Be sure to get it sighted in as well. Most metro areas have archery shops that can help you of if you want to sell it they usually take bows on consignment. my husband is a bow hunter and I used to shoot tournament recurves years ago. We typically have gotten about $50.00 for a used bow in decent shape

It's great for kids (but dont hunt anything that hunts back) That includes deer. Stick to varmits with that one or target practice. Any Hunting Bow should either be a subsonic or re-curve bow that delivers a wallop like a .45 or a super sonic that creates a sucking wound in the intende target 100+ lbs with razor tip game heads.

Be there for her and try and get her to talk to her parents... By her talking to them gives her more options on wether or not she wants to keep it or even adoption she has more options now than she will later. Her parents will find out eventually just make sure it's not to late. And be a good friend and try and help/guide her to make the choices she wants and not what anyone "wants" her to do because she am has to deal with it later on in life no matter what she decides... And like the girl before said her parents will grow to the idea and yes there's a chance they'll loose it but the won't hurt her or the baby. So encourage her to make her decisions that will benefit her in the end.

I don't know the answer to this, but you could go to gunbroker.com as I believe they have a bow section there.
