My all time favorite breed would be Doberman Pinschers. I have owned several breeds including Dobermans and I have never had a more loyal, trusting, loving dog. They have so many great qualities that many people overlook because of their reputation. If people would do the research on this breed they would find that Doberman Pinschers were "created" to be the all around "super" dog. The amount of research that went into creating this breed is amazing. I truly beleive this breed is the perfect breed and will never have any other breed.

Please gush about it. ... So I would have to say that the Bearded Collie is my favorite breed of dog.

I've never been in this part of the PF and I didn't see a topic on it, so I thought I'd ask. What dog breed is your favorite? Mine would have to be.
Sheltie for sure Love my 2 boys with all my heart!

Mastiff by far. They're loyal, devoted, loving, gentle. They will give their lives for you and love you for eternity. They are well known as having a sixth sense- They can tell when there's something 'off' about a person and will stand between you and that person. They aren't aggressive but are certainly intimidating when they're not happy.

The sixth sense extends towards them being able to sense if you're feeling uneasy or sad. They will comfort you.

They are fragile emotionally and if you yell at them they will be heart-broken.

They are wary of strangers until you let them know they're okay in your books and they will then welcome the stranger.

They are well known as "hero dogs"

I have heard stories of Mastiffs rescuing his owner from a burning house and then hearing the cat meowing inside so he ran back inside to rescue him but he ended up dying inside next to the cat.

I've heard of them breaking down doors to protect their owner who was being beaten- the Mastiff leapt on him and pinned him down but the man was able to repeatedly punch the Mastiff in the face. The Mastiff never bit the man he took the beating while protecting his owner until the police arrived.

As far as daily care. They require little exercise, they're not high-strung in any way and are just happy to be around you. They are very striking dogs to look at, males weighing in at about 200lbs +. They have enormous heads and their looks just scream power and nobility.

Can you tell I'm in love?

I love giant breed dogs so I would have to say St. Bernard. I have a St. Bernard/Chow mix but would love a full bred St. Bernard. Runners up are Mastiffs and Rottweilers.

any kind of dog is a good dog.It depends on the person .Try to match the breed with their owners for ex ;a family would probable like a easy going lab ,where someone else might like a beagle ,someone who spends alto of time in the woods ,do you see what I mean?

Border Collie is by far the best breed out there. They can do anything. Shelties are also very good dogs.
