I guess it's just one of the many trails I will face through life. What do you think?

People hate what they don't understand.God is so powerful that it frightens them.
Take things slower and some will start coming around. Stay strong and God bless what you are doing for Him.

Some people hate the idea that their actions displease God. Others hate the idea that anyone could live a wholesome life, which exposes the failure of those who do not. Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Doesn't the Bible say something about keeping your prayers in private, not shouting everything out for all the world to hear? I hope you understand that "witnessing" to other people is the WORST possible thing you can do if you're hoping for conversions, because nothing tarnishes the reputation of a religion faster than having its adherents shove it in peoples' faces.

Faith is a personal matter. Your faith is none of their business and their faith is none of yours. If they want to hear it, they'll ask you. Otherwise, concentrate on your social life and schoolwork.

I can't stand people who think it's okay to "witness" to me; such people are no better than hot tub telemarketers. People who want a hot tub will call the hot tub company; people who want to be Christians will come to the religion of their own accord. This is America, for Christ's sake - it's not like the Christians don't get enough exposure or something!

If I followed you around all day reading " The Cat In The Hat" aloud, how would you feel. I'd probably have a black eye by the end of the day. If someone asks you about your beliefs, by all means tell them.
Invading their lives without permission to "witness" to them; you're lucky you don't get smacked.

Because they dont want to hear it. Try witnessing to them with your actions and let them ask you why you are the way you are. One thing I have learnt is the more you push something on someone the more they resist. If you can learn to get them to ask you and come to you they will be ready for what you have to tell them. The best way to witness in not to say anything at all but witness with your actions. From my church days Praying for them helps also.

You are self righteous. you should be at school learning reading, writing, and arithmetic. Focus on your studies, try to be a little more open minded, and maybe you'll have a chance at a life better than that of a egotistical baptist preacher who drives you so insane with his constant words of wisdom and advice that you have to be on Prozac by the time you're 35.

If what you mean by witness is to preach than you can't expect everyone to believe what you do. I, myself am a Christian but I'm getting so turned off by the amount of people who preach. Everyone has thoughts & beliefs that don't agree with each other

In some places they persecute Christians. In school they only pick on them.
Actually, people who like to pick on others will use any excuse.

True story:

Weeks ago, a man jumped into a lion's den at the zoo. Why? To preach of course. What happened? He got bit!

Now... obviously this guy had lost his mind. What about you?

Satan has his kingdom in this world. he draws people to hate eachother and especially if you are telling people about the truth of God. You have to realize you are apart of a spiritual war going on in the world. When you are on God's side you will face a lot of confused hate from people. But you have to learn to love them.
