My sis asked me to bring some Alaskan Amber to her, since it is not sold in NJ. Is this allowed? I am only bringing a 6 pack? Is there danger of leaking? Please only people who have actually done this before reply.

Call the airline and the airport security/police. If it is allowed then I would package each bottle in 2 large Ziploc bags and put them in your checked luggage. I always put anything that might leak into zip locks. Good Luck and Happy Holidays

I've done it before, but with all the new security I'd suggest calling your local airport and ask them. I'm sure you realize that you'll have to pack it in your checked baggage.

No, it may explode in the air due to pressure and extremes of hot and cold in the hold.

I have carried on bottles of wine, etc. but only put wine in my luggaged and not sparkling wine - only still wines.

They will not allow it. Security is at an all-time high. They only allow 3 oz. of liquids per tube.

Rather than taking a chance on leakage, try shipping a case via UPS or FED EX....
